Only a 10-minute drive from the hotel, start your morning off with a visit to Fota Wildlife Park. Here you will come face to face with free roaming animals and birds from all different parts of the world. if it’s a kangaroo that hops in front of you, or a ring-tailed lemur, which jumps down from a tree, each visit is sure to bring its own fantastic memories.
After a delish breakfast, feel geared up & take on the day at Adventure Park! Whether you coast along the Karting track, Mark a bullseye in archery, shoot a hellfire in laser clay shooting or bounce like a maniac on inflatables! You can bet Adventure Park is where the fun is at!
Following a hectic morning living in the fast lane slow down the pace with a trip to Tír na Sí Farm. Gobble down some lunch in the onsite restaurant. Stroll around the nature trail, meet the farm animals, lookout for fairies & ride on the Farm Express Train or on a Horse & Trap.
On-route back from Ballymaloe, it’s worthwhile making a detour to historic town of Midleton, which is home to Jameson Distillery. You will enjoy a full interactive, behind the scenes tour and learn all about the Jameson Irish whiskey family- while of course sampling the famous whiskeys! Did you know the distillery is home to the largest Copper Pot Still in the world!
If you are feeling adventurous this morning, try Stand Up Paddle Boarding, where you can see Cork from a different viewpoint. The experience takes approx. 2 hours, of which 90 minutes is on the water. You’ll be paddle boarding approximately 3 km. This activity is wind and tide permitting, so check in with Cork City SUP first, to make sure they have a tour running.
Located only a stone’s throw away from the hotel, spend the evening having some family fun at Airtastic Entertainment Centre. If your kids seem to always be fizzing with energy, this is the place to bring them. With so much to choose from- bowling, mini golf, ninja activities and bouncing games – You’ll officially be the coolest parents, if you bring the kids here!
